A new name, a new identity and a new website: introducing Imagine Digital Studios

After years of working under a handful of different names, we've brought everything together as Imagine Digital Studios, with a new identity, a new UK company and a website we built the way we'd build one for a client.
If you’ve worked with us over the years, you may know us as Imagine Solutions, Imagine Studios or Imagine Creative Studios. Same people, same work, but three or four different names depending on when we met. Look at the footer of some of the websites we’ve built and you’ll find all of them.
That’s fine when you’re busy doing the work. It’s less fine when someone tries to find you, recommend you, or work out whether the company that built their website is the same one now talking to them about AI. So we’ve done what we so often tell our clients to do: we’ve stopped, looked at the brand properly, and pulled it all together.
From today, we’re Imagine Digital Studios.
Why “Digital Studios”
The name had to say what we actually do. We design and build websites, brands, apps and marketing, and more and more of our work now involves artificial intelligence. “Digital” covers all of that without boxing us in. “Studios” says we’re makers, not a call centre or a reseller. And “Imagine” stays, because it’s where every project starts and the one word all our previous names had in common.
Alongside the name, we’ve set up Imagine Digital Studios Ltd as a UK company, with our registered office in Mildenhall, Suffolk. A lot of our newer work is with UK businesses, and it made sense for the company to sit where those clients are. Nothing changes for our clients in South Africa or further afield. We still work with you exactly as before, mostly remotely and on calls at times that suit you.
The rider and the planet
Our new mark is a figure on a unicycle, balancing a planet in one hand.
It’s the best picture we could find of what this job feels like. On one side there’s creativity: ideas, design, stories, the things that make people stop and look. On the other there’s technology: code, servers, search engines, automation, the things that make it all actually work. Good digital work keeps both in balance, while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, which is your business and what it needs.
We also had the rider animated. If you watch the short film on our About page, he wobbles, loses his footing and has to chase the planet across the sky before he gets back in the saddle. We kept that in on purpose. Every real project has a moment like that. What matters is getting back up and delivering something that lights things up.
A website built the way we’d build yours
A new identity needed a new website, and we wanted it to be proof of how we work rather than just a brochure.
So we moved off WordPress. The new site is a fast, static website hosted on Cloudflare’s global network. In plain terms, that means:
- It’s quick. Pages load fast wherever you are, which visitors notice and Google rewards.
- It’s secure. There are no plugins to patch and no login page for anyone to attack.
- It’s cheap to run. Hosting costs next to nothing, so the budget goes into the work, not the server.
- It’s still easy to update. We edit pages, projects and articles through a simple web editor, with no developer needed for day-to-day changes.
We built search optimisation in from the start, not as an extra at the end. Every page has its own title, description and structured data, and every address from our old website now points to its new home, so nothing anyone linked to or bookmarked is lost. If you’re thinking about a redesign and worried about losing your Google rankings, this is exactly how we handle it for clients too.
Showing our work, including our own
You’ll find a portfolio on the new site, from restaurant and holiday-home websites in the Western Cape to a law firm in Baghdad and an arbitration consultancy in London.
You’ll also find two products of our own. Mavnio is an AI communications platform for institutions, and Poseidio brings CRM and accounting into one workspace, with AI doing the reconciliation. We built them because we believe AI is genuinely useful when it’s done carefully, and you can’t advise people on that properly unless you’ve built and run it yourself. Our AI solutions work for clients comes straight out of that experience.
What stays the same
Most importantly, nothing changes for the people we already work with. The same team is behind the work, the websites we look after keep running as they always have, and if you’ve been emailing us at our old address, that still reaches us. From now on, though, [email protected] is the best way to get in touch.
What’s next
This is the first article in our new Insights section. We’ll use it to share practical ideas on web design, branding, marketing and AI: the things we learn on real projects that might be useful on yours. If you’d like them in your inbox, you can subscribe at the bottom of any page.
Thank you to every client who has trusted us with their ideas over the years, under whichever name you knew us. We’re excited about this next chapter, and we’d love to hear what you’re imagining.
Get in touch, or just say hello.
Gideon, founder, Imagine Digital Studios
